You might have thought that this walk was going to be a repeat of familiar paths, but you would have been mistaken. Patrick had cleverly winkled out some unknown routes combined with some familiar scenes to make a very interesting day. After a couple of rather wet months we did encounter some slippery mud which resulted in some close encounters with the ground. However the weather was kind to us, mild and dry and we saw many signs of spring with lengthening catkins, snowdrops, flowering witch hazels, aconites and dog's mercury.
It was our pleasure to welcome some new faces to our group, we hope to see you again!
Returning to the cars everyone was in high spirits and 33 hungry souls tucked into the array of confectionary and hot beverages.
