A circular walk around Brockham and Leigh

27 Aug 2017 | Surrey Group
The sun shone all the day...
Welcome shade by the kissing gate.
Everyone is ready to re-start the walk after lunch.
The old pump at Leigh.
Distant views of the north downs.

Alice led us on a lovely walk today and the sun shone all day.  I don't know how Alice managed to arrange the weather so well, but other walk leader make note!  Twenty walkers and three dogs enjoyed the stunning views and a very picturesque churchyard lunch spot in Leigh.

After the heat of the walk we ended the walk with tea and cakes in the shade of an oak tree on the village green - bliss.  Our thanks  to our skilful bakers and marketeers for supplying a wonderful range of cakes:-

Robert - fruit cake

Mary - chocolate chip cookies and chocolate brownies

James - fresh plum cake

Alice - carrot cake

Gordon - chocolate crispy cakes

No shortage of chocolate today!

We hope to see you on our next walk on 24 September 2017, Shalford, Loseley Park and Compton.

Regards,

Gordon.
