‘Secret Snowdon’ Walk

The weather forecast was rather off-putting, threatening strong winds and sub-minus temperatures in the wind chill for our planned walk on a little known route on Snowdon so the turn out was rather low with just six souls prepared to brave the expected conditions. However, the forecast turned out to be grossly exaggerated as the wind strenth died down during the day and by the time we reachd 700 metres on the flanks of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The sun shone all day and the promised showers stayed away, so we were warm & dry until the end of the walk when the low sun dropped behind the hills. Everyone enjoyed the fantastic views of Snowdon, the Llanberis Pass and the Glyderau mountains.
