North Eastern Gower's Hidden Valley

11 Nov 2018 | West Wales, Women Groups

Russ has led our November walk for some years now and he always manages to summon up dry weather. The forecast earlier in the week had been for showers all day but a little hocus pocus from Russ, plus a sprinkling of fairy dust and a (no ) rain dance/Strictly strut around his lounge brought the desired effect, a lovely dry autumn day.

The weather forecast for the day of this walk showed rain passing over and then a dry but cloudy day. We had some rain travelling to the start of the walk and also dry bits too but when we got to the car park for the meeting place, the rain hammered down.

This Country Park is made up of some very lovely green paths plus some harder surfaces and almost all on the flat so ideal for everyone....

This time the walk was a longer one of over 6 miles. 11 people assembled for the walk on a scorchingly hot, humid and airless day. We set off along the local country lanes and onto a lovely green path.

The views were magnificent, particularly of the surrounding hills and mountains....
