Hereford 'A Personal Tour'.

7 Nov 2018 | Western Midlands Group

Being a native Herefordian, I was delighted to be joined by 13 other walkers whilst I indulged myself in walking in some of the footsteps I enjoyed as a boy. From outside the city we retraced the steps I took walking home from school, past my junior school and through parks and fields that buffer the city. With references to the Civil War, railway history as well as some more personal memories. Through the Castle Green, and to the cathedral for lunch and a small tour of this beautiful building. 6 Sep 2018 | Western Midlands Group

We were pleased to welcome five new faces, three of them completely new to GOC. It was also notable that two of the participants were able to access the walk by train. As we set off the clouds began to disperse and the sun made an appearance, making the need for wet-weather gear less likely.

The walk itself was not spectacular ...
