You have arrived at the webpage for the club's Norfolk group.  I'm David Willis, the co-ordinator for the group.

We are always looking to welcome new members to the group. I feel sure you will enjoy walking in the lovely Norfolk countryside. We think of ourselves as a friendly group of like-minded individuals who enjoy a walk and an opportunity to be sociable on the way.  It is a great way to meet people and to discover new parts of the county.  So often our walks are a little off the beaten path in the middle of the Norfolk countryside.

Most of our walkers are male and in their middle or upper years (in our prime, in the words of a certain Jean Brody).   But we welcome everybody, irrespective of gender, age or ability.

We walk once a month, usually on the last Saturday of the month but increasingly some walks are being held on the last Sunday.  Our walks tend to be fairly easy, there aren't too many mountains in Norfolk, and are between 5 and 8 miles in length.  Most walks are off-road for the majority of the route, using public footpaths and by-ways.  The walks normally start at 11.00 and typically finish around mid-afternoon.  They follow a circular route as far as possible rather than following a there-and-back route.

There are always a couple of breaks, including a lunch stop so the walk is broken down into 3 reasonably equal lengths.

You can contact me on the link below, using the Club's messaging system, or via my personal email:  [email protected] , or my mobile:  07876 800807.
