Worcester – women only weekend
This is a women only weekend in the beautiful city of Worcester.
There is a Cathedral. lots of museums and galleries plus the River Severn and a canal running through the centre.
It has 2 railway stations so good transport links for women using public transport.
Women will find their own accommodation.
Some examples of accommodation from the visit Worcester website are here.
See below in meeting point, information re campsite--info available to members only.
There will be a Friday afternoon walk exploring the centre of Worcester details are here
and a walk on Saturday details here
and Sunday's walk is here.
There will be a group meal on the Saturday evening and I'm sure, lots of coffee and cake along the way!!
A booking has been made for the Saturday evening meal for 6 45pm at The Farriers Arms in Fish street in the centre of
Worcester.
*** If you have to drive into Worcester, for the evening meal the best place to park is the car park at Copenhagen street, WR1 2EY (down no through road) pay and display, pay by cash, card or App.
To find The Farriers, walk up to the road from car park entrance, turn right and there is a narrow road on your left after red brick building.
Large white building is the pub.
This car park is probably nearest for walks starting at The Cathedral too, but feel free to find others that are more suitable for you.
I will be in touch nearer as we will need to pre-order the food the menu is here.
Some stay over on Sunday night too when we usually arrange an informal Indian meal, as pubs normally just serve
Sunday lunch, and do not serve evening meals on a Sunday.
Women will need to officially book their place on the weekend.
Booking will open on 1st January 2025
