Our Groups are up and running with their activities. From the 1st of May we will no longer require advanced booking for most events. Events may still require advanced booking if it is necessary to place a limit on the number of attendees based on the event's risk assessment, or other factors.
General information
Ironbridge is world famous for it's cast-iron bridge. Less well known are the delightful woods and open spaces that surround the World Heritage site. Today's walk will focus on the north bank of the River Severn, taking us via a circuitous route to Coalbrookdale and the Darby Furnace. In the afternoon we will wander along the Loamhole Brook and then up onto the relative heights of Strethill to get impressive views across South Shropshire and answer the question - Where has the power station gone?
This is a 9 mile (c.15km) walk with some noticeable ascents and descents. None are prolonged.
