Enjoy an interesting walk along the River Exe, starting  our 6mile journey at Darts Farm. We join the Cycle and walking route past Bowling Green Nature Reserve with its bird hide and onto  the  village of Topsham, with its  fine views across the river.

After lunch, we venture under the M5 to Countess Wear and its unexpected delights, continuing along the northern bank of the river to pass the Wear and finish our walk at Exeter Quay and a café stop.  A short bus ride will return us to the City Centre  to catch our bus back to Darts Farm.
Please Note: Between Topsham and Countess Wear we will walk through a boggy area, Boots are  strongly  recommended as it is very marshy. An alternative route is available via Bus 57 from Topsham to Countess Wear roundabout (10 minute journey) to rejoin the walk at Glasshouse Lane.

At the end of the walk a bus G from the Quay to City Centre leaves at 16.30 (15 minute Journey) or you can walk from the Quay to the City Centre Bus Station to catch bus 57 (30 minute journey)  to return to Darts Farm and car park.
