Tryfan is a magnificent rocky mountain to the south of the A5 at Ogwen. The standard way to climb the mountain is by the classic North Ridge. This is graded as 1 - the easiest scramble grade, but it is quite committing and has places where a good head for heights will be essential.
People intending to take part in this event should read GOC's document Safety in the Hills.
