This is part of the women only weekend.
This is a 7 to 7. 5 mile moderate walk on the Malvern Hills.
We will start from the centre of Great Malvern and climb up onto North Hill at 342 metres, and which can be clearly seen from the town centre.
We will do a circuit around the hill before making our way on to The Worcestershire Beacon, 425 metres, giving us great views in all directions.
We will stay on the ridge, making our way to the area of Wyche, turning off just before, to descend down to Earnslaw Quarry and pool and the site of the Earnslaw house which once stood here but has now been demolished.
We return to Great Malvern via a beautiful woodland taking us to St Anne's Well--because of the purity of the spring water running down the hillside this place subsequently became a rendezvous for 19th century visitors.
It now has a cafe so we will stop for refreshments before making our short way downhill back to the centre of Great Malvern.
***In Great Malvern there is a sign saying
"If you are walking in Malvern then you are either walking uphill or downhill!!"
So please bear that in mind, there will be ups and downs but we will not be rushing, the walk will be at a pace to include everyone and to enjoy the fantastic views.
Bring a packed lunch.
There will be an evening group meal to be arranged--see below for details.
