Restarting Events

Our Groups are up and running with their activities.   While there is generally no fixed maximum number of participants on an event, an event may have a limit in place based on it's risk assessment.   All events still require every participant to pre-book via the website.

General information

The Great Aycliffe Way is a figure of eight walk around Newton Aycliffe. It is a very pleasant walk on good surfaces. Listen to the chorus of birdsong as you pass along through the tree lined areas. As the Way covers the northern and southern areas of the town, there is an option to do only the northern route at 6 miles. Both routes can start and finish at the railway station.

Attendees are invited to come to our home after the event for tea and cake in the garden. Please bring your own chair.

Terrain / Difficulty

Mainly flat with only a few gentle slopes, although some areas can become slightly muddy after periods of heavy rain. There are no stiles on this walk.

Approximate Distance

10 miles
