Talley, Carmarthenshire
This is a walk up the hills and through the meadows surrounding Talley, a picturesque small village in Carmarthenshire.
From the meeting point we climb up a tarmacced driveway and along some grassy tracks to gain fantastic views of the surrounding farmland and forestry.
We plan to stop for lunch by a delightful pond on top of the hill and then meander back through various fields and down to the village. We make our way back to the cars via the ruins of Talley Abbey.
Even if the ground is largely hard from frost, certain sections are likely to be somewhat muddy, so sturdy waterproof boots are essential. There are several stiles on the route; they are suitable only for dogs who can be lifted over.
