Event Details

Our Groups are up and running with their activities.   From the 1st of May we will no longer require advanced booking for most events.  Events may still require advanced booking if it is necessary to place a limit on the number of attendees based on the event's risk assessment, or other factors.

General information

Cheddar Flat – 30 miles
Glastonbury, Godney, Wedmore, Draycott, Cheddar, Wedmore, Westhay, Glastonbury – mostly flat except short climbs by Wedmore

Enjoy a sociable outing riding (mainly) on country lanes with lovely views of the Somerset landscape and enjoy the thrill of the glorious Cheddar Gorge.

This is the second of Somerset’s three, summer Sunday rides (third of the month).  Departing Park Farm Road, Glastonbury at 10:30am. We’ll have two rest stops on the route, for which you must carry food and drink, getting back to the departure point by 3pm (mechanicals notwithstanding). The group will be paced to suit all abilities – sending the fast ones off on an extra loop, if necessary – and you will get help if you have the misfortune of a mechanical. No one will be left behind.

Terrain / Difficulty

This is a challengingly flat route with a bit of climbing near Wedmore. If you can comfortably cycle ten miles on your own, you’ll easily do this thirty-miler in a group.

Approximate Distance

30 miles
