St David’s Pembrokeshire – part of Christmas “weekend away” in Fishguard
This is part of the Twixmas few days away but everyone is most welcome to join us.
There is provision for this walk to be anything from 4 to 8 miles in length, depending on individuals requirements particularly those who are travelling home today. There will be ups and downs so the walk will be moderate.
We will start in Britain’s smallest city, and make our way onto the coastal path to St Non's Bay, passing St Non's Well and the meagure remains of St Non's Chapel on route.
The route then follows the coast path.At various intervals a path leads back inland to the centre of St David's for anyone wanting a shorter walk.
We come to the beautiful harbour at Porth Clais, now a tranquil port but once a hive of activity and then continue around the south-west tip to Porthstinian where St Justinian's lifeboat stations stand.
This is a wild & beautiful coastline, with outstanding clifftop scenery, looking over to Ramsey Island.
Lunch in St David's at the end of the walk before departing for home.
