An easy walk of 7 miles set on the edge of the Cotswolds in South Warwickshire. The walk starts in Whichford near Shipston on Stour. Walking out of the village we head up into the woods with panoramic views down toward Long Compton and the Rollrights. From here we head to Cherington with views of Brailes Hill and the surrounding rolling Warwickshire countryside.
Lunch stop will be at The Cherington Arms Public House; the pub serves food and has a large garden with seats and shade! After lunch we walk through the neighbouring village of Stourton and then return to Whichford. After the walk we can visit the Norman Knight Public House for a drink and chat. Whichford Pottery (we walk past at the end of the walk) produces high fired terracotta ceramics and may be of interest to a number of people (open 11:00 - 16:00).
