This 7.5 mile walk traverses the ridge between Airedale and Wharfedale, passing through pleasant pastoral scenery before finishing on a high route offering expansive views of the southern edge of the Dales. Total ascent about 1000 feet.
We take a farily direct route, not too steep, onto the moor going to High Swartha and then to Light Bank Lane before accessing Rombalds Moor. It is the route of one of the Silsden Strolls.
Food & Drink: please bring a packed lunch and something to drink. After the walk we hope to take refreshment at a local pub or cafe.
Equipment: walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
