We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Walks can once again take place in England, Scotland and Wales, and will be run in accordance with local regulations. In most cases our walks will allow for a maximum of 30 participants, although a lower limit may be in place following an event's risk assessment. All walks require every participant to pre-book via the website.
Estates, Civil War, Poetry and Empire. A moderate walk of c8 miles across Gloucs/Oxon border country.
The walk departs along the MacMillan Way through magnificent parkland with views across rolling North Cotswold countryside. Down a small winding lane to the tiny, 13th Century, estate church of St Mary's that greets us as we enter the village of Chastleton, home of the National Trust's Jacobean Manor House. Onward over pastoral farmland that offers views of the distant town of Stow-on-the-Wold and the panorama of the Evenload Valley onto Adlestrop, chocolate box, estate village that hosted Jane Austin on a number of occasions in 1794.
After our lunch stop in Daylesford we continue to the village of Cornwell, the last of our picture postcard estates, with 16th Century Manor House.
