Riverside walks, and wild nature reserves to the south and east of Bewdley
This eight mile fairly easy walk begins along the banks of the Severn, then branches inland to explore the fascinating and diverse nature reserves to the east of Bewdley - Burlish Top Nature Reserve, where General Patton addressed the troops in WW2, Rifle Range Reserve and the quirkily named Devil's Spittleful Reserve. We criss-cross the Severn Valley Railway – so there's a chance of seeing steam trains; and we walk along the edge of the West Midland Safari Park. Glorious scenery by the river and in the nature reserves. We meet at 11.00 a.m.
