Teggs Nose to Shuttlingsloe and Wildboarclough.

Event Details

Restarting Events

We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Walks can once again take place in England, Scotland and Wales, and will be run in accordance with local regulations.   In most cases our walks will allow for a maximum of 30 participants, although a lower limit may be in place following an event's risk assessment.   All walks require every participant to pre-book via the website.

General information

We walk through Macclesfield Forest to Shuttlingsloe returning along the Gritstone trail.  It’s a good path with a steady ascent to the summit at 506 metres.
Bring waterproof clothes and a good pair of boots. I’d also recommend a walking stick or poles for the steep bits. Don’t forget a packed lunch and plenty of water if it’s a warm day.
There is a cafe in the visitor centre for drinks and snacks after the walk. (Covid Regulations permitting )

Here's a link to view the whole route which also shows the total ascent (2000 feet)
