Restarting Events
We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Currenly walks in England can restart from the 29th of March. Walks in Scotland may take place with a maximum of 15 participants, but all participants (and walks) must stay within their own local authority area. Walks in Wales are not currently able to restart.
General information
The Oakmere Way is a permissive bridleway that links Delamere Forest to the Whitegate Way. The route follows land to the northern edge of the Cheshire Sands Quarry through a strip of woodland owned by the Crown Estate. Our walk proceeds from Delamere Forest along the Oakmere Way and then returns to the start along lanes and forest tracks.
Terrain / Difficulty
A largely flat walk on good paths. Some muddy sections are likely especially after rain. Walking boots are essential.
