Northampton Sixfields to Kislingbury circular walk – 6 mi (+ optional 2mi)
A semi urban walk in a figure of 8
The first loop (6mi) goes on gravelled paths alongside the a disused railway line and the Northampton Branch of the Grand Union Canal then goes through a county park all the way to Kislingbury and back another way. The area has changed a fair bit since the group did this walk a few years go.
After returning to the car park, we can do the optional second loop (2mi) around Duston Mill Reservoir. This will take us close to the famous “Northampton lighthouse” lift tower. This loop is using a narrower path at places and goes through a meadow with a well used wide path.
