Mary Knoll Valley and Views over Ludlow

Event Details

Restarting Events

Our Groups are up and running with their activities.   While there is generally no fixed maximum number of participants on an event, an event may have a limit in place based on it's risk assessment.   All events still require every participant to pre-book via the website.

General information

An easy ramble just south of Ludlow, this walk takes mostly farm and forest tracks through field and woodland.  At one stage we follow the delightful Mary Knoll Valley through mixed woodland, climbing gently to the high point of the walk.  We than descend to Whitcliffe Common with its stunning views over Ludlow and its Norman castle and the Clee hills beyond before taking steps down to the River Teme.  We follow the Bread Walk along the south bank of the river, emerging near the bridge at Ludford and returning to the cars via the village of Ludford.

Terrain / Difficulty

Although the overall ascent is some 800 feet, this is an easy walk with wide verges or pavements for the brief sections which use public highways.

Approximate Distance
