  • TerrainModerate with some steep climbs, and steep descents but on well defined paths. (Climb to 245m).some parts may be very muddy.

Walk begins at medieval Margam abbey, then a steep climb through beautiful woodland to join the Wales Coast Path with panoramic views over Kenfig, Port Talbot and Swansea.
We descend to Brombil valley and walk through woods before ascending again and rejoining the coast path above the M4 (noisey!). A short walk through the village of Goytre and then along Mynydd Brombil, an undulating path, with views over countryside before returning to the abbey.
Moderate walk with some ascents and descents on stony and muddy paths and some muddy areas near the river.
Warm clothing and stout footwear as we will be 250m high in winter.

Walking poles will be of use on steep/muddy bits.
