Coronavirus / Covid-19
Following recent changes in government advice regarding Covid-19 to avoid all non-essential travel and maintain social distancing, all walks and other activities are cancelled until the end of April.
We will continue to review the situation with regard to events beyond April. Further information can be found here, and will be udpated in due course.
Our annual jaunt through the Fylde villages and coast. David has asked John to lead this for 2020, but he hopes to meet us in Fleetwood or Blackpool for the later part of our trip.
If the tides are favourable we will cross the river Wyre by ferry, followed by all the usual sophistication of the Golden Mile, the dunes to the faded gentility of St Anne's and prosperous little Lytham.
The ride will be of the order of 40 -45 miles, depending on the weather and how fit we feel on the day, but all very flat.
Bring a packed lunch. Tea and cakes are available in Blackpool and Lytham!
