This will be a morning walk before going back to Knighton for lunch and then catching the 2. 55pm Heart of Wales train home.
This short section of 4.3 miles, rises above the town to Knighton's old racecourse before descending to the enterprising community of Knucklas nestled beneath the remains of a Norman Castle built to rule over the people of the Teme valley.
There are exceptionally good views of the railway viaduct and the Heyop valley as you drop down to explore the village of Knucklas.
Then transport (bus or train) back to Knighton for lunch before homeward bound, see below.
