We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Walks can once again take place in England, Scotland and Wales, and will be run in accordance with local regulations. In most cases our walks will allow for a maximum of 30 participants, although a lower limit may be in place following an event's risk assessment. All walks require every participant to pre-book via the website.
Kilvey Hill can be seen clearly from the centre of Swansea.
Come and join us on the longest day, and enjoy this unspoilt gem.
It is approx. 195 metres high and the top gives fantastic 360 degree views.
This walk is not very long in miles (approx. 4) but it is steep up and steep down!!
The first 15 minutes or so is uphill through houses then we start to get great views and we'll walk on a level path skirting St Thomas and Port Tennant, looking down on the massive Danygraig cemetery.
We then begin the climb proper to the top.
This is made up of a series of steep sections and then level bits in between on mainly good paths.
This will not be a race, we will take our time admiring the changing skyline and drinking in the 360 degree views. The ascent will take just over one hour.
As long as the weather is kind we will stop for a snack on the top, so please bring refreshments.
The path down is quicker and relatively easy, taking around 45 minutes.
NB You might find a walking pole useful if you use one.
Terrain / Difficulty
Some steep ups and downs but on good paths.
