We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Walks can once again take place in England, Scotland and Wales, and will be run in accordance with local regulations. In most cases our walks will allow for a maximum of 30 participants, although a lower limit may be in place following an event's risk assessment. All walks require every participant to pre-book via the website.
This is one of our new tester events on a Wednesday aiming to cater for members who prefer shorter easier walks. Please note the start time of Midday is later to allow more time for those needing more time to reach the venue such as members using public transport.
This will be more like a guided gentle walk with a mixture of parkland, historic town and some countryside around the castle. I will be acting as your tour guide pointing out various points of interest along the way. Everything in the photographs is along the journey. I anticipate it will take between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. There are many outlets in Kenilworth for coffee and snacks afterwards for anyone that would like to replenish and gather.
If you want to browse Kenilworth before or after the event there are many usual High St. shops and charity shops There are public toilets situated in Abbey End which is opposite the Holiday Inn Hotel visible as the only tall building at the end of the main road through Kenilworth which is Warwick Street.
Terrain / Difficulty
We will be on paths, pavements and gravel tracks with about one third across fields. There are no styles and very little gradient.
