JOGLE Day 76 Burnham on Sea to Bridgwater
The river Parrett has a mighty estuary that takes the coast path a long way from the sea, so today soon becomes a riverside rather than a coastal walk.
I follow the shoreline path most of the way, but come inland to the village of Pawlett to avoid going round the Pawlett peninsula
When the river meets the A38 at Dunball Wharf, the path stays alongside the A38, until it reaches Wylds Road, which leads to the Drove Bridge over the river Parrett into Bridgwater.
For the next 2 days I leave the Somerset Coast. It goes back up the West Shore of the river Parrett and round the major nuclear power station at Hinkley Point. I go cross country instead.
