Today's walk on the Pennine Way is known as a wet day, if not the wettest days. The official guide only offers one option. The Trailblazer guide details that from Burnstones you can walk on the gradient free, bog free and stile free South Tyne Trail. This day is before one of the longest days of the Pennine Way.

We will get quagmire, bog, squidge and squelshes for the first half of the day, but I think it's wise to reserve some energy for the big challenge on day 40 (tomorrow).
