Spectacular 6 mile circular walk in the remote and peaceful heart of Dartmoor. Visiting Bowerman's Nose , a very distinctive granite tower. Bring a packed lunch to eat on the lovely village green at Manaton where bench seats are available.

After lunch our route takes us along deserted lanes climbing ever upwards onto the moor. A carpet of bluebells awaits at the site of an abandoned medieval village.  From there the craggy outline of Hound Tor beckons  with the promise of the best views of the day from the summit.

Refreshments afterwards at a good farm shop cafe.
