Our Groups are up and running with their activities. While there is generally no fixed maximum number of participants on an event, an event may have a limit in place based on it's risk assessment. All events still require every participant to pre-book via the website.
A circular walk of 9.5 miles (15.3km) around Little Hadham.
Features include picturesque villages, a golf course, long views, a few posh houses, a church, a manor hall converted to housing, a new road perhaps still in construction and lots and lots of open countryside. And alpacas.
Terrain includes road, meadow, field, field edge, track on footpath, bridleway, highway, including parts of the Hertfordshire Way.
Elevation ranges from 62m to 112m. No particularly onerous hills. The greatest gradients are 40m over 1km, both uphill and downhill.
Expect lots of overgrowth, including brambles. Some field footpaths are narrow; wet crops will soak your knees and feet.
Much of the route is exposed.
Wear sturdy boots, or - if dry for the preceding 48 hours - sturdy trainers. Bring windproofs.
Bring packed lunch, lots of water (especially if either a sunny or a windy day), something to sit on, face covering and hand sanitiser.
Depending on regulations in force at the time, there may be an optional pub visit at the end.
If you intend to join this walk, please mark your attendance using the "join event" button below and keep this up-to-date. We shall use this list as the basis of our NHS track & trace record-keeping.
