Glamorgan Heritage Coast Walk

Event Details

The annual circular walk along the cliffs and beaches of this spectacular Jurassic coast overlooking the Bristol Channel.

Of around 7 miles, the walk leads from St Donat's, along the All Wales Coastal Path past Atlantic College to Nash Point and its lighthouse, initially climbing through a wood, and then along the cliffs on the All Wales Coast Path to Monknash Beach.  We will then descend to the beach, walk along the beach back to Nash Point, and then retrace our steps to St Donat's.

Bring lunch and fluids, and a towel if you want to go swimming.  We will visit the cafe near the lighthouse on the way to the beach and on the way back.

Note, that the beach is made up of sand and patches of limestone pavement,  The limestone is difficult to cross underfoot in places, as it is of odd shapes and sizes shaped by the tide, but is passable with care.  There are a few short climbs along the way and just a few stiles.
