We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Currenly walks in England can take place. Walks in Scotland may take place with a maximum of 15 participants, but all participants (and walks) must stay within their own local authority area. Walks in Wales will restart from the 26th of April, with a maximum of 30 participants.
A 8 mile walk with spectacular views both within and over the Edale valley. The walk is a circular route taking in Barber Booth, Hollins Cross, Back Tor and Lose Hill before returning to Edale along the valley. This is a moderately tough walk with a total ascent about 1500ft. The views over the Edale valley on one side and towards Castleton on the other are superb. Opportunity for pub stop at the end.
Food / Drink: please bring a packed lunch and something to drink. After the walk, suitable refreshment may be available at the Penny pot tea shop next to the station or at the Ramblers pub, but we will not be able to visit the pub as a group, unless the Covid restrictions have changed by then.
Equipment: walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing, hat and gloves. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
