Dacre Banks and the River Nidd

Event Details

Covid-19 - getting back outdoors

Our groups in England are now able to offer events, starting from the 18th of July, with a maximum of six participants on each event.  To take part in any of these events you must book using the ticketed booking system.  If the event you are looking at does not show ticket options it is either fully booked, or has not yet been set up to take bookings. Our Scottish and Welsh groups are still not able to run events at this time, but we hope this will change in the near future as guidance from the relevant governments is updated.

General information

A 9 mile figure of eight walk giving those who wish the opportunity to only walk half of the walk.

We walk downstream on the river Nidd to Birchfield then a climb up to Hartwith village, Edge Nook Farm, across to Hartwith Bank and then Summerbridge. After which we walk upstream along the river Nidd to Harewell Hall alongside the disused Harrogate to Pateley Bridge railway line, crossing the river to Low Laithe. Followed by a gentle climb through Braisty Woods to Woolwich Farm. We then enter old spring wood before once again reaching Hartwith Bank and downhill through Summerbridge and back to Darce Banks.

Our leader on this walk is Alan.

Alan intends leading this walk again on Sunday 17th November.
