Cwm Wernderi Reservoir – shorter mid-week walk

Event Details

Our Groups are up and running with their activities.   From the 1st of May we will no longer require advanced booking for most events.  Events may still require advanced booking if it is necessary to place a limit on the number of attendees based on the event's risk assessment, or other factors.

General information

A delightful and historic walk along the former railway line through the deeply wooded Cwm Dyffryn.  We’ll branch off the cycle track for a circuit of Cwm Wernderi Reservoir.

The gradient is gentle, but increases slightly when we head for the reservoir.

There is one short, steep climb up the dam, before we make a circuit of the reservoir and a similar descent before we retrace our steps back to the starting point.

Anyone preferring not to climb the dam can find a suitable resting place, while they await our return.  The walk is mainly on gravel paths, but it can be muddy in places.
