We will start our walk with a gentle stroll along the quayside, passing the Smallest House in Great Britain and enjoying views of the estuary & Deganwy on the opposite shore, as the facade of the impressive Conwy Castle disappears behind us.

Crossing the railway tracks via an ornate metal bridge we begin the steady climb away from sea level on to Mynydd Y Dref (Conwy  Mountain) at first on pavements and then on good paths as we enter the open ground on the North Wales Path.

Walking on the landward side of the mountain we enjoy views towards the foothills of Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri and back toward Conwy, it’s Castle and the Afon Conwy as it snakes towards the Grade 1 listed suspension bridge.

We cross to the seaward side of the mountain, avoiding the highest point.  Here we will pause for lunch with views of  Y Gogarth (The Great Orme) Llandudno and Bae Conwy.

The route back provides panoramic views of the coast, Y Gogarth (The Great Orme), Llandudno and Deganwy before we retrace our steps back along the coast to the start point.

After the walk there will be time to visit the castle, the suspension bridge or enjoy some retail therapy or refreshments in Conwy before returning to your accommodation at a time of your choosing.

Bring a packed lunch and dress for the weather which can change quickly on the coast.
