Restarting Events

We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Walks can once again take place in England, Scotland and Wales, and will be run in accordance with local regulations.   In most cases our walks will allow for a maximum of 30 participants, although a lower limit may be in place following an event's risk assessment.   All walks require every participant to pre-book via the website.

General information

An 8 mile walk circular walk from Whaley Bridge.

The route is from Whaley Bridge climbing up over Hilltop, through Tunstead Milton, around combs Reservoir to the village and then back via Ladder Hill and Cadster. A great variety of terrain through woods, alongside reservoir, climbing two hills and descent through river valley. Beautiful views on the way out and back.

Food / Drink: please bring a packed lunch and something to drink. After the walk, there is a chance for a drink and a relax in a fabulous Whaley Bridge pub.

Equipment:  walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing, hat and gloves. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
