This is a  7 mile approx. moderately difficult walk, which may be muddy in places and a stream to cross, Nant Hir, so walking boots will be required.

A walking pole would be useful for steep descents.

This is a varied walk through open fields, wooded alleys and some road walking, giving

excellent views over Carmarthen, the Gwili Valley and towards The Black Mountains.

We eventually reach the hamlet of Newchurch and St Michael's church, where we will have

lunch.

We return along peaceful lanes, tracks and valley footpaths, with fabulous views of this

beautiful valley.
