Restarting Events

We are restarting some events with the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Walks can once again take place in England, Scotland and Wales, and will be run in accordance with local regulations.   In most cases our walks will allow for a maximum of 30 participants, although a lower limit may be in place following an event's risk assessment.   All walks require every participant to pre-book via the website.

General information

A circular walk of approximately 5.5 miles followed by an optional further 2.5 miles after lunch.

Beginning at the starting point, head north towards St Allen Church via Country lanes up to the Northern Part of Idless woods to walk along the side of the River Allen before heading back to the starting point.

Lunch will be around the area of the starting point where light refreshments can be purchased in the car park if you don't wish to bring packed lunch.

After lunch there the choice of a further 2.5 mile circular walk to take in the old Iron Age Fort.

Terrain / Difficulty

Footpaths will be muddy if the weather has been recently wet
