This year's All Wales Weekend will be in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, from 13th to 16th September 2024.

A walk each day of this four-day weekend will track riversides, valleys, and mountain landscapes, taking in the beauty and the substantial history of the area.  Members are welcome to join all, some, or one walk, as they wish.  See specific event entries for further details.  It will be helpful if you add your name to this main page and to the event/s you plan to attend, to give us an idea of how many people are attending.

Friday's walk tracks the River Usk from and to Usk Bridge in Abergavenny, and Saturday's walk is in the heart of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Sunday's walk tracks the Blaenavon World Heritage Site around the Blorenge Mountain, and Monday's walk climbs the Sugar Loaf, the southernmost of the summit peaks of the Black Mountains.

The weekend is complemented by a garden visit to Kentchurch Court Gardens, near Pontrilasto, on Monday, giving a choice of either the walk or the garden visit on the final day of the weekend.

Please arrange your own accommodation - early booking is advised.  There is a variety of B&Bs, hostels, and hotels, in Abergavenny and the surrounding areas.   Lifts can be arranged if you are arriving by train or bus for the walks.  We will be welcoming members of the Abergavenny LGBTQ+ community on the walks.

NOTE:  There are no trains running between Newport and Shrewsbury on Saturday and Sunday 14 and 15 September  - bus replacement.

Please make your own arrangements for evening meals on both Friday and Sunday evenings, and ask others if they would like to join you - see the messages below.  The Lamb & Flag pub in Abergavenny (Brecon Road, Abergavenny, NP7 7EW) has been booked for the whole group on Saturday 14th September at 7.30 pm.  If you have not asked to be included in this meal, please feel welcome to join us for a drink and a chat from about 8.30 pm onwards.
