Coronavirus / Covid-19
Following recent changes in government advice regarding Covid-19 to avoid all non-essential travel and maintain social distancing, all walks and other activities are cancelled until further notice.
We will continue to review the situation in line with guidance issued by the government. Further information can be found here, and will be udpated in due course.
This walk is around the smaller southern hills of the Malvern Chain, namely Swinyard Hill, Midsummer Hill, Ragged Stone Hill and Chase End Hill. The walk will continue around the Eastnor estate and end on the Herefordshire Beacon. This will include a pleasant mix of terrain and some stunning views. I've given the degree of difficulty for the walk as 'moderate' as there will be a few strenuous sections. But be reassured we'll take these at a moderate, steady pace and have lots of rests to compensate. There is one 6ft high stile to traverse (deer deterrent) so maybe not a walk for a dog. Please be prompt for an 11am start.
Terrain / Difficulty
Although we'll walk up and down hills there are easier, flatter sections interspersed with the more demanding stretches.
