Llansannor and Penllyn from Cowbridge

Gail led a group of 19 men and women, and 3 dogs, out across the sprawling, picturesque countryside around Cowbridge.  Cowbridge was gripped by Christmas fever with Santa himself making an appearance (Russell somehow managed to decline an offer from Santa to sit on his knee apparently) and we all just about managed to park.  The weather was cold, but dry, and we were led on a circular walk across numerous fields, farms (complete with muck and smells!), meadows, and lanes, along a very interesting and pretty route.  Highlights included a visit to Dr Salmon's wells, and at Llansannor Court, when the owner met us and kindly gave us a very interesting talk on this grade 1 listed Elizabethan building.  The walk was completed with a visit to the impressive Physic Garden in Cowbridge and thanks to Gail for a very interesting and enjoyable walk.
