Lake District
The Lake District group generally has monthly Sunday walks (except during the winter months). They are designed to suit most tastes and abilities - from gentle fieldpath rambles to rather more ambitious assaults on the Lakeland peaks. Although most of our walks are within the Lake District itself, we occasionally venture further afield - into North Lancashire, the Yorkshire Dales or North Pennines.
Unlike some of our fellow groups it is unusual for us to manage a pub lunch stop (although we often go for tea or a meal after the walk). So please ensure that you bring a packed lunch and suitable refreshments on all walks. Also bring waterproofs. Please wear suitable clothing and boots.
Please try and be at the rendezvous in good time (remembering that parking may be limited) - WE WON'T WAIT !
Walks may be cancelled in bad weather so please contact the organiser in advance if there is any doubt (especially if you are travelling a long distance !).
