The GOC website works in all modern web browsers and as far as possible, adheres to the standards laid down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). For many of the facilities to work, both cookies and javascript must be enabled. Cookies are used to keep track of login information, and to retain user preferences, while javascript is used to control the behaviour of pages which update the database. For registered users, It is also advisable to permit popup windows for www.goc.org.uk and to ensure that referrer information is not blocked by your Internet security software.
Designed for Firefox
To experience the GOC site at its best, we recommend the Firefox web browser. The site was designed with Firefox in mind due to its good adherence to standards, and it will work well in other standards-compliant browsers such as Safari and Google Chrome too. Internet Explorer 7 is fine, but some facilities won't work so well as it's non-compliant. Group Coordinators and Administrators in particular will benefit from using a better browser.
The site has been tested using the following browsers. Earlier versions and less common browsers may experience minor problems, and we recommend upgrading.
