Groups
The groups which make up GOC organise all of the events, each one has a person who co-ordinates their events and acts as a contact for the group. To find out more about any group and how to contact them, look under our Groups page.
Committee
A central committee of up to 12 Officers manage services for the groups and comprises:
Chairs all meetings, represents the club and deals with all aspects of club policy, publicity, insurance and safety.

Advice and assistance to any member organising a GOC event.

Minutes Secretary: Roger Orpin ![]()
Takes the minutes of committee and general meetings.
New Members' Enquiries: Graham Hullett

Initial contact for people wanting to know more about GOC and sends out information packs.
Edits GOC's newsletter, Outdoors, dealing with all articles and event reports.
Deals with all general correspondence.
Manages the club's finances including membership payments and expense claims.
Manages the club's website.
Contact for all matters related to women members.
Assistant to the Committee
Archivist: Simon Ball
Maintains the club's archives.
Returning Officer
Organises the ballot at a general meeting.
